BOOK REVIEW: SARAH MOORE, HOMEMADE GIFTS VINTAGE STYLE, KYLE BOOKS ( LONDON) 2011

Homemade Gifts Vintage Style

The book Homemade Gifts Vintage Style by Sarah Moore ( Money For Nothing Tv programme) is a project book for crafters interested in recycling old materials and using the sewing machine.

The main contents of the book are separated into Made by Hand, Sewn by Hand and Sewn by Machine.

The projects are all economic and made the most of easy to grab accessories like odd buttons and fabric remnants.

My favourite project is how to make a fancy hat, scarf and pair of mittens out of an old wool jumper.I found this sentence by the author very striking and relatable "They say that necessity is the mother of invention and this is certainly the case with this collection of warming winter wear", in page 123 of book under review.

If you have small kids the project lavender bunnies on page 111 is the perfect crafting project that will give your children endless hours of joy .

Until next review,

Best wishes,

Ariane
