BOOK REVIEW: STAFFORD WHITEAKER, ENGLISH GARDEN EMBROIDERY - OVER 80 ORIGINAL NEEDLEPOINT DESIGNS OF FLOWERS, FRUIT AND ANIMALS- GUILD PUBLISHING (LONDON)1986

This book was written a few decades ago by a monk, an intellectual and a very creative and gifted writer, Stafford Whiteaker. I could not be more thankful to God for having this book as this is a true life companion that make certain moments of my life very special.

This book is a very easy to read introduction to the English embroidery history with relevant information and patterns for Anglican believers.

I would recommend this book for people keen to elaborate stunning and easy English needlepoint rugs. Please refer to the pictures below for some examples of how perfect some of the rugs shared in this book are.

If you liked my table runner with extensive repetitions of a sunflower , you will love this book as also features flowers to be used 'on repeat' in projects such as table runners.

Until next time, Best wishes,

Ariane
