Though the theme was war, Lady's World No. 38 , October 1915, featured lovely projects for the home.
Note: You might notice that most of my things are packed - I am moving home in a few weeks.
Yet ignore all that and scroll down for the advertisements. These have changed character since 1886 and now there is more involvement of women in social issues, for example knitting and crocheting comfort items for soldiers in combat or abroad.
The Knitted Cover for Pincushion ( page 29) can well be transformed into a blanket of any length and I also suggest some ribbon work. If you are making a blanket and not a cushion as the magazine indicates disregard the border around each square and use it instead around the blanket edges.

The Dreadnought battleship is not something I would like to have in a cushion cover , even though it meant victory of a fruitless war. Still is a lovely project and boys would love it!

This issue's contents are mostly instructions on crocheted and knitted goods.
Packed and almost ready to go!

Taking it easy!
