Carol Parks book ' Making Handbags and Purses' caters for crafters looking to make handbags and purses that in London high streets are very expensive. This does not mean necessarily that the cost of the projects is higher than the usual bag, but yes that for most , the preparation skills is above average.
I ranked the sewing and crocheting skills in intermediary to advanced and the embroidery and needlepoint skills to basic to intermediary. However, there are exceptions like the projects pictured below and which I hope are enough to motivate anyone to give it a try at making their own bags!
I particularly like the projects below as these handbags resemble exotic Moroccan handbags which are priced quite high here in London!
The easiest project accessible to anyone is the cross body made out of an old scarf , beads and jewellery.
