WHY THE BOOK REVIEWS WILL TRANSITION TEMPORARILY TO CROCHET

 

Might look like the pictures indicate, crochet one scarf, use it and crochet another to match another skirt or coat, and crochet in a very tiring spirit before going to bed : crochet to get the tiredness of the day away!

However, crocheting is more than that , is also the easy option to use my time late at night while socializing with family as with needlepoint the demand of the day is that the work is executed during the day and with constant attention for who is around and how much I might be invading the space of those sat next to me sharing a private family moment.

In the video below you can see how much space I take of my other family members while embroidering, especially when is Bargello which often requires change of needle directions.

Here is the verse of my Bargello cushion front - one of two, I kept  one  and  I gave this one below to my mom  . Here is the verse of the cushion front which she said she would rather frame to keep it in proper condition as took me ages to finish.

Either way, my cat sleeps through as being a cat is a very  exhausting business!

Though crochet is an easier craft than needlepoint , both equally demand development and study , not only to keep up with other needlewomen but also to progress in fulfilling the needs of those around us- I find that to be particularly the case when gifting my family members and friends with Christmas presents or birthday presents. 

Books are a great way to learn new skills, execute projects and meet others needs.

After making a present without any guidance I found that I would have benefited from a book about making handbags.  Just look at the present I made for someone without any guidance. Note I am not happy with the result so ended up keeping the bag for myself  - to myself really!

To start with I bought the fabric via a dishonest amazon market seller selling bad quality faux fur,

I used an old necklace chain as handle, what kind of looks dodgy and gives away that is handmade out of improvisation,

Did it quickly late at night while watching tv in the kitchen, what to be frank , also did not help!

What made me conclude that for this process of handbag making to happen again in my life I need some guidance from people who know what they are doing , 

And hence why I resorted to finding the best books in the business , books which now I will be sharing with you !

We will not only be sharing sewing books reviews with suggestive pictures from our favourite projects of each books ... 

We will also transition to Crochet Book reviews!!!!!
